Quick and easy

My dog Snickers experienced a twisted stomach, or gastric torsion, event which required emergency surgery. The emergency vet performed the surgery, my regular vet helped monitor for next day care, and then I had to transfer my dog back to the emergency vet for another overnight monitoring. Nightmare to say the least. Happy to say Nationwide allowed me to make one claim for everything related to the care of Snickers and made the reimbursement process seamless. Appreciate the support.

Great service

Nationwide Pet Insurance is well worth the price, claims are processed and money deposited quickly. I have not had one issue with Nationwide. The only thing I don't like is having to claim the refund before it is deposited. I was overseas on vacation and not checking emails daily, and almost forfeited the refund. Once the claim is in, the money should be deposited without further actions on our part.

Great experience so far with Pet Insurance

I've had a really good experience with my pet insurance so far. I've called a couple of times with questions on my policy and the support team is very friendly and helpful. The reimbursements for claims have been an easy process and have come quickly after the claim has been submitted.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
