Expensive but worth it

I pay more for Ringo's health insurance than I do for my own; however, the Wellness coverage makes it partly pay for itself, and I have the reassurance of knowing that I could afford my share of whatever happens in future. 7 years ago I lost my Kymdog to Lymphoma. She was not insured and I spent thousands of dollars over 2 years to keep her comfortable for as long as she had a reasonable quality of life. Now I feel I have piece of mind, whatever the future brings.

Wonderful service!

Great Service

Nationwide has been great with my claims. I got the head to tail coverage, and they have paid all claims without any issue. From years exams, to flea/tick/heart prevention, to x-rays after my dog accidentally got into chick bones, I have never had an issue at all

Great plan

Simple & efficient claim process.

My first rescue dog so at 2+ years old I didn't know what to expect so thought insurance was a safe bet in case of emergencies! Fortunately Brewster has been "trauma" free but the wellness program has made checkup visits, immunizations and meds so much easier on the pocketbook. Thank you so much! Marcia

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
