This coverage was a lifesaver for my dog on several occasions

I couldn't be happier with the coverage I've gotten. I have a 4 year old Frenchie that has had a wealth of health issues and between the wellness and illness plans it's covered the vast majority of our bills. Twice I've had to take her to the emergency vet with cases of aspiration pneumonia and my policies kicked in on both visits covering the majority of the costs--- I wouldn't have been able to save her life both of those times if it wasn't for my insurance. So so so grateful, I would recommend this to anyone!!!

probably the most "stress-less" process I have come across in dealing with medical reimbursements.

A very quick, and worry free process in dealing with on-line submitting of paperwork and notifications of claims being processed. The only thing I would suggest, as my cases with my pets, would be to up front inform the pet owner of how the claims are to be processed or categorized for quicker/correct processing. I had all the payment documents but it turned out that they needed to be totaled according to "wellness-care" vs "Injury treatment". This might have be easier to know how or what is the best to submit the claims when they are mixed coming from the vet. Other than that, 2 thumbs up on the service and responses.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
