Nationwide Pet Insurance has been good yo work with.

This past month was my first vet visit for my dog since procuring Nationwide pet insurance. The appointment was for a routine annual exam. Processing the claim was quick and easy. I appreciate the staff at Nationwide who answered questions and those that were behind the scenes processing.

Routine Vet Visit

This was for Elliott’s routine checkup. It was not a sick visit. Our vet office seems to be through and takes very good care of Elliott.

Best pet insurance out there...

Yes, its a bit on the spendy side, but love that it covers more than just illnesses and accidents. The heartguard and nexguard (which my dog is on year round) is also covered. Preventative care is really important to ensure my dog lives a full life, and taking care of things (like dental care) that could shorten or reduce the quality of life without having to worry about the HUGE bill is nice. It's super easy to submit claims, and if you have any questions they are a quick phone call away... and SUPER helpful. By far the best insurance company I've had to deal with.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
