So much more efficient, transparent and easier to submit claims than human health insurance!

My experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance has been 10,000 times better than with my human health insurance. Your policies are clear. Claim submission is simple. You explain benefits and provide reimbursement when applicable in a timely fashion! Submitting claims through Vitus Vet is simple and efficient! You could teach United Health Care a lot!!

You covered everything except my deductible (which I totally understand). This helps us not worry about what Bella Needs -- because we can just get her what she needs and we will get assistance with the bills. This is a great comfort. Thank you so much for helping to take care of our loved one!

So helpful and caring!

I love Nationwide Pet insurance. They cover preventative care. I also love the access to the 24/7 pet helpline. I called about an issue the other day. They took the time to check into it, gave me an answer, gave me things to watch for/when to go to the vet. Then, they called me a few days later to check in on Yeli! I was floored when I got the call. So thoughtful and caring!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
