We have been with Nationwide since Marley was 12 weeks old and have always received wonderful service.

Caring staff and easy to understand on the telephone if I have any questions. Excellent service and easy to fill out claim forms. I like the direct deposit a lot. We have been with Nationwide for many years and looking forward many more years of service.

Great insurance

I was a bit skeptical about pet insurance, but the Nationwide coverage is fabulous. The customer service staff responds quickly to questions, the claims are reviewed and paid promptly. This is the best value for money spent I have experienced. I am really pleased.

Nationwide pet insurance has been the best investment I ever made!

When I purchased my puppy from a breeder almost 5 years ago, I also purchased Nationwide Pet Insurance. Nationwide has been the best investment I ever made. No one could have known at 8 weeks old that one of his kidneys was not going to develop, but at 2 years when he was diagnosed and all the years since, Nationwide has been with me in supporting my furbaby. He's doing great, and I thank Nationwide for being my support over the years.

Nationwide Pet Insurance was quick to processed our dog's teeth cleaning and extractions 2 years in a row

When our dog had his teeth cleaned last year at 5yrs old, I was surprised he had 5 front bottom incisors removed. Nationwide was very fast in reviewing and covering the claim as I received the funds before I had to make my credit card payment. Then this year at 6yrs, to my surprised, he needed teeth cleaning again, but this time half his teeth was extracted, all the top incisors and molars. Sad to see that he only has his 2 canine teeth left on top but again, Nationwide reviewed and pay on his claim before I had to make my credit card payment.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
