Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I printed the refilled form from the Nationwide web site, added the information about the vet visit and sent it off with a copy of the vet receipt. I was happy to receive an email informing me the claim had been received and was being processed. Before I knew it, I received a check that covered the cost of the visit.

It is very easy to use the VitusVet app to submit claims. I have been satisfied with most of the decisions, but I think Nationwide is too liberal with the preexisting condition classification. I will have to do a thorough analysis at the end of the year to determine whether or not it is worth continuing.

I have been completely satisfied with the response time, fairness of payment and customer service that i have received on both claims i have submitted. Two separate accidents and the stress of surgery for one of our dogs was calmed due to the customer service and quickness of the response from Nationwide on both clams made the process manageable for our family. We were not crippled financially due to mounting vet bills. When we rescued our second dog we knew we should look into pet insurance. Nationwide partnered up with my company so the choice was easy. I was not expecting the level of customer service, ease of us with the app to submit claims and how fast my questions were answered. I also appreciated the follow up on both pets. It's a simple thing but not one a lot of companies think to do.
