Submitting my claim was easy, got back the 90 percent and am exceptionally pleased with the peace of mind I now have!!

Great service

My dog was bitten by a snake on the foot. Had to spend the night in a veterinarian ER. Also required a follow up visit with his normal vet. Both claims settled quickly. Great to have peace of mind knowing my dog gets the best health care.

It took a while to hear back, but coverage was great!

Everything was covered so no complaints there! I was very happy to finally hear back and get that news. However the time it took had me in a tight spot financially for a while. I just got out of school and got a job (where I get my pet insurance from) and of course she decided to get sick right when I was completely broke haha. Submitting the claim was easy. It took a long time because old vet records were requested, which I expected and have no complaints about. Then I got those documents and submitted. Then I got a letter after the 30 days that said another 30 days was needed. So while I understand that these things take time, it was about 3-4 months. It would have been nice to hear back sooner but again, overall I am very happy and thankful it was covered. Thank you!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
