You helped save me money on the vet bill.

I took Ginger in for her yearly check up and rabies shot. Nationwide covered the cost of the exam and her one year prescription for Heartguard. No problems filing my claim and had my check within the promised time.

Impressive Insurance For Pets

So happy that I have my pet insured with Nationwide because it covers vet visits and filing claims are fairly easy. When I speak with the customer service representatives they are very kind and answer any questions that I have.

too much time

The only thing I have an issue with is the fact that it takes a great deal of time to process the claims, whether it is a claim for $10 or $1000 the time to process is unnecessarily long. I have had several friends who have policies with other pet insurance companies that agree with me comparing their companies to Nationwide. While I love the coverage, I may change when our policy comes up for renewal to a company that gives me the same coverage but handles their reimbursements a little quicker.

Great service. Easy to use.

Easy app - great for submitting claims. Communication is prompt. Only complaint is that I didn't realize parasites were an exclusion on my coverage and we live near a lake, so parasites are an ongoing problem. Wish I'd realized beforehand.

Easy as pie

My dog hurt her paw and the cost was over 1200.00. Insurance paid over 1000.00 of that bill. Easy to file. 2 thumbs up

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
