Great service Nationwide! I'm telling my pet-owner friends and family

This is my first year to have pet insurance. I have both the well care and emergency care. My dog has been in very good health thus the reason for adding the well-care program. We recently have had to visit emergency services and having Nationwide's support has really made a difference.

Nationwide takes care of my Doberman!

I have a very complicated Doberman. He sees more doctors than I do to address his many health issues. To that end, I submit several claims a month. Nationwide has always been fair and helpful throughout the claims process, quick with payouts for claims, and has really good customer service. I highly recommend them to any pet owner and will never have a pet without coverage from Nationwide.

I will never be without pet insurance!

Our dog developed allergies just after his 7 months b-day. Lots of trips to the vet, lots of special food, lots of tests. We finally ended up at the specialty vet and without Nationwide Pet Insurance, it would have been challenging to have all of the testing done that he needed to determine what he was allergic too. The claims process was easy and the reimbursement payment was timely. Our out of pocket cost was manageable and now his allergies are under control!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
