We SO appreciate Nationwide Pet Insurance! Our 5 yo lab had a mast-cell tumor 6 months ago. It was so stressful to go through the surgeries, the recovery and the worry...Nationwide allowed us to worry less about being able to afford the care she needed. I am a huge advocate for pet-insurance in general and specifically I would recommend Nationwide for their customer service. Thank you!

Excellcent

Luke and I have had a difficult time since his surgery as he developed a post surgical infection and has been back to the surgeon multiple times. Not having to deal with medical expenses takes some of the stress off. It's funny that I work for the largest health system in MI and my pet has better insurance coverage that pays much timelier thank mine. I recommended Nationwide Pet Insurance to everyone. I have told at least 20 people in the vets office these last few visits.

Peace of mind

I highly recommend Nationwide pet insurance. When you’re sitting in the vet’s waiting room with your sick pet, it’s a great relief to not add worry about the bill , and just focus on your pet.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
