Getting Nationwide Pet Insurance, especially the Whole Pet Wellness Plan, has been the best investment for my family. Especially recently when my pup has been sick requiring ongoing treatment, it is great to know I have Nationwide to help with cost and make sure Rico gets the care he needs. It gives me such piece of mind and the process is so easy. We really appreciate the service and commitment!

Preexisting conditions protocol could be tweaked. Otherwise, excellent service.

We've had Nationwide coverage for a few months now, insuring both our cat and our puppy. We're generally pleased with the coverage thus far. Submitting claims is very easy and issuance of reimbursement is prompt (~2-3 weeks for us). While still taking Nationwide with a grain of salt, since there are numerous other reviews that complain regarding Nationwide's willingness to cover some ailments, nevertheless our personal experience so far is enough to recommend Nationwide as a carrier.

Great customer service! But the premiums are a little expensive. Especially if you have more than one pet on the policy.

Life Saver

Thank god for this pet insurance! We have 4 dogs and as you can imagine, our vet bills are crazy. But thanks to Nationwide, we re-coup most of our money. Submitting claims is super easy the turnaround time is usually within 3 weeks. Insurance is never cheap but we rest easier knowing that in case of an emergency, Nationwide is there to help!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
