Easy to use and worth the money!

We have Nationwide for both our dogs and have loved it so far. Filing claims is extremely easy and Nationwide sends checks immediately. Although the entire cost is not paid, a big portion of it is. We haven’t used it for anything major yet, and I hope we never do, but for the maintenance parts of a puppy that are pricey, nationwide has definitely been worth it.

Thank you for being a caring insurance company. I wish all health insurance companies were as accomodating toward humans as you are towards service dogs and pets. Thank you again for being a very caring company in a world that is full of greed.

Great service when I call. Claims processing time has improved a great deal.

Always great coverage and service. There has been noticeable improvement in claims submission options and the timing of payment has also improved.

First Time Pet Ins.

I was pretty surprised how easy it was to get reimbursed. The initial costs of a new kitty pretty much covered the amount I’ll be paying for an entire year of insurance. I’m so glad I have my little guy insured.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
