A must have !!

This is great insurance and claims are paid very fast and fair. My only complaint is every year rates continue to go up. I guess that is how all insurance works. Overall very impressed with the customer service and claims departments.

I really appreciate having the coverage. Would love if you covered part of the medicines? She will be on same meds until she passes with her condition. Do you cover anything ?

Great, easy experience during a time of stress

Having a pet who is injured or sick is extremely stressful. There's a lot of worrying. Knowing that Nationwide Pet Insurance is there to help cover the cost takes a little bit of the stress away and lets me focus on getting my pup back to healthy. Not only that but the process of filing a claim is so simple and easy that I don't have to worry about any hoops to jump through.

Help with vet costs = better care & better life for my pets

Was happily surprised to get nearly all my vet costs covered for Milton's dental work. He's much happier and with the money saved i'm able to provide him better daily care.

Never fun dealing with Insurance, but...

Pet bills are almost never cheap. My dog was limping and I took him in for exam and x-ray. Between the visit, x-rays, consults, tests, meds, etc., I was looking at a eight hundred and something bill. But submitting the records online was fairly painless (wish submitting via phone app was easier, though!). The bill was reviewed and payment issued within a week or so. Payment was made directly into my bank account (my choice.) Mind you, my records were clear and included the Doctor's report/assesment, etc. But there was no arguing or the game of "we need more information before we can pay this claim..." Very happy overall.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
