Filing the claim was relatively easy after I realized you don't use the downloaded claim to file electronically, you click on the link. Maybe I missed it but, I didn't see the internet link, to file online, on the website.

pre existing conditions

During my use of this insurance, the pre existing condition is used to get out of cost. Unfortunately, my dog has injured the same body part multiple times. But farmers classifies this as pre-existing condition. I will be cancelling my insurance at the end of year and going with my vets plan. Thanks for the service.

Quick response and fast reimbursement

I have never had pet insurance before but opted to get it when I adopted an 8 week old puppy. It's been 2 1/2 months and there have been several visits to the vet for puppy wellness check, immunizations, neutering and microchipping. Nationwide Pet Insurance has been responsive to every claim submitted and followed through with their reimbursement as advertised. I was skeptical at first and am now a very happy and trusting customer.

Again, friendly and helpful customer service. Love being able to receive my refund via direct deposit. That is the best!!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
