Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

We are so glad we got this insurance for all 3 of our cats we adopted 7 yrs ago. We decided to get it when they were kittens. It has been a real help when they go in for their annual physicals, dental cleanings and other procedures. Our Rebecca had to have 4 teeth pulled at the dental exam last month and we were surprised at how much we got back on that! It helps pay off that care credit card! It is so easy to file a claim. It takes just a couple of minutes and you are done. Then they direct deposit into your bank! Super easy! And they send birthday cards. They even sent an email checking up on Rebecca. How cool is that?

I purchased Scooby's insurance thru Nationwide because my Aunt highly recommended, unfortunately I was given incorrect advice on filing claims, took over a year to get reimbursed and had no follow up to submissions or help with how I was handling them incorrectly. I am in the service and was station at A-School in June, leaving Scooby with my Aunt whom helped straighten out the claims, but again we are very unhappy with the co-owner rules. We will both be caring for Scooby over the next year while my next duty begins, but we are not allowed to both be on the policy? Yet a married couple is? It will be a struggle if I am on the boat at Sea and Scooby has an emergency but we have tried to talk to a couple of representatives whom suggest just changing it into my Aunts name which requires more paperwork.

While we appreciate the process in reviewing claims, the turnaround time for payment could be a bit quicker. We do appreciate it's done direct deposit.
