Lived up to policy promises

After having fulfilled the deductible, the policy paid what was promised.

Pet insurance gives you peace of mind especially for unexpected sickness or emergencies!

Pet insurance is a necessity for all pet owners. It’s been a big help to me and Koda with all his unexpected illnesses and surgeries. I pray nothing else happens but if it does I feel that he will get the care he needs. I am retired and on a fixed income and don’t want to worry or stress out about how I can pay both vet and my doctor bills.Customer service has been very helpful and the ease of claim rate is great. The only thing I hope is my monthly cost of insurance doesn’t raise drastically next year because of his health issues he’s had so far this year. Thanks again for being there for Koda when he needed you!

Don't buy this insurance

I have had Nationwide for three of my dogs, the two that passed away in the last four years and my current one, who is a year old. I was told that I could upgrade to the Whole Pet with Wellness plan after a year. I called to do so but was denied the upgrade... because of seasonal allergies. Seriously. Seasonal allergies was reason for denial. This pretty much sums up what is wrong with the insurance business in general in the U.S.-- denial of coverage for "pre-existing" conditions, even something silly like allergies. Oh, I was good if they wanted to exclude the allergies, but they said no, no upgrading at all because of them.
