Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

After a sudden illness with my pet, I filed a claim and the process was simple, I was kept up to date on the status and payment was quick. I was also touched by the email check back on how she was doing. Brought a smile to my face given she is much better now. I am very pleased with the coverage and service.

I was a customer previously with my four dogs when the claims payment structure was much different. It got to the point where the amount that was being paid on a claim (sometimes less than 50%) plus the premiums negated my ability to keep up with the insurance. When I got my two new rescue puppies (Freddie Mercury and Elton John), I definitely knew I wanted to insure them, but didn't even think about going with Nationwide as I had assumed the payment structure was the same. I actually signed up with another plan through my veterinarian, and I decided to check out Nationwide to see if the premiums were comparable. I was quite surprised to find that, finally, after the deductible was met, I would truly be reimbursed 90% of the cost, no matter how much it was. I dropped the other plan and jumped onboard again with Nationwide. Thank you for making that change! I recently was declared completely and permanently disabled and am no longer able to work, so my income has been drastically reduced. But I will always find a way to take care of my "kids" (besides the four dogs, I also have seven kitties!). The premiums are certainly expensive (for me, anyway), but at least I know I can always provide the best care for the two young ones and don't have to worry as much financially. Thanks again!

We've had this insurance for our Great Dane for quite a few years now and wouldn't be without it. It so easy to file a claim online. Anytime I've had to call in to speak with a representative, everyone's been very helpful and polite.
