Love the focus on wellness!

One of my Frenchies is covered by Nationwide and has the wellness rider. Being in the healthcare business myself, I understand the importance of focusing on wellness and prevention. I am grateful that Nationwide is there for me and Ari through both the good times and the not so good times. Thank you, Nationwide!

Best Pet Insurance - Paws down!

Nationwide offers the only pet insurance (major medical & wellness) with one combined and affordable price. Claims are easy to file and turn around time before you receive the reimbursement is only a couple of weeks. Sometimes less. If I had to say only one thing they could improve on is allow for more reimbursements for flea/tick and heartworm meds. You have to give those to your pet every month in most cases. Not just a couple of times a year, but they have a limit to how many times they will reimburse for this treatment.

I wish I could give more that 10 on 10 stars!

So easy to submit claims on the app, and customer service is the best. My friend has pet insurance from another company and he has so much stress submitting claims and they take forever to process. I have the whole pet with wellness plan (so great and still really affordable compared to other companies for what you get, even though my dog is 9). I never ever worry if she needs to make a trip to the vet. I wish I had gotten pet insurance sooner. Don’t wait! Nationwide really cares and I feel like we’re in good hands.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
