unfortunate condition

I have always been happy with the coverage until recently when my claim was not paid at all. I understand that now that we have been diagnosed with a hereditary condition none of the expenses will be covered. What i don't understand is why the $400.00 cardiac ultrasound could not be covered especially since it is listed in the covered costs that you will cover up to 440.00.

So glad I have insurance for Bandy... he had allergies which have cleared up .

I recommend this pet insurance because I always feel secure taking Bandy knowing some or most of visit will be covered.

I was decieved by this insurance!! Pet wellness NOT WORTH IT!!!!

If you think this insurance will help you with vaccinations for your puppy, your in for a world of deception. I paid the first round of shot since we weren't eligible yet, pricey, second round submitted, the ins wellness plan payed up to75 dollers worth of shots, one 52 doller one was not covered as I MAXED out on 1 claim!!! Puppies get 3 rounds of shots, with office visits. Not for my 3rd and final appointments I will pay all cost again, I would have rather kept my 100+ money that I paid up front for this insurance so I could cover cost for these apts. I feel very deceived.

Will never go without pet insurance again!

Seriously, we will never go without pet insurance again. On a prior pet we learned the hard way racking up enormous vet bills. They are our children. And when it comes to vet care we will not sacrifice their well-being. Just knowing Nationwide is there brings us great comfort should an emergency arise.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
