Easy claim submitting

I was surprised with the ease of submitting my claim. It is reimbursed quicker than expected as well. I have been happy with Nationwide’s ability to make it all user friendly.

NATIONWIDE rated #1 for your family pet to keep them healthy and happy!

Our cat, Marbles, was diagnosed with early stages of gingivitis during her annual dental exam. Thank goodness for Nationwide pet insurance to cover a major portion of her tooth extraction. As Marbles is our family pet, it was very important to have this procedure done to alleviate any future problems! The claim service online was convenient and efficient. I was able to receive payment quickly and efficiently. I would definitely Nationwide for all your family pets!

Clarification

I love working with you guys. You do a great job supporting my animals. I only have two comments. I wish there was an option to add on dental insurance to a current policy without getting a whole new policy. I also do not understand the deductible. I have been paid on several claims for anything and then was denied because I didn’t meet my deductible. Does this have to be met for each claim or combined claims? And does it max out and then you start over? Thank you! Sarah

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
