Nationwide is on Minnie’s side

Minnie was recently spayed and she is doing great. The ease of filing a claim for the procedure was so easy. Thank you Nationwide for being there for Minni.

The coverage is great! The web portal not so much

The coverage is great! I love that wellness visits and all his vaccines and prevention is covered. I do not like the web portal. It’s cumbersome and difficult to navigate. It was hard to find the link to VitusVet for the initial setup for ‘easy’ claims. Othellos breed is not listed in many places, but Is acknowledged in the initial quote section. Why is that? I wish there was a snapshot where we can see where we are with meeting the annual deductible, instead of opening all his documents and calculate it ourselves as best we could. Coverage is great. The web portal has room for improvement.

Often referred

I've had dogs for 30+ years and have insured them through VPI and Nationwide for the past 10-15 years. I'm often asked by friends and family about pet insurance, and I've always recommended VPI and Nationwide. Periodically the turnaround time on claims is slow, but usually it's very timely and when needed the on phone resources are very helpful and friendly.

Nationwide gives peace of mind

Nationwide helps me take the best care of my 2 cats. They are quick to process claims and the policy covers most expenses, including wellness visits, labs, meds and prescription foods. Nationwide gives me such peace of mind; I no longer worry about the financial implications of veterinary care.

I am thankful for my Pet Insurance

My Boxer has had Health problems spanning his entire life. I am thankful to have had my Pet Insurance through Nationwide. I love the new online claim entry. If I had one recommendation it would be that I did not have to put in a verification code every time. I love the Electronic Payments - so easy and quick. Thank you for everything!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
