Tried to deny service on account of a supplement I was giving my dog, a totally bogus reason

My dog blew his ACL- he needed surgery. Nationwide tried to claim it was a pre existing condition because years ago I gave my dog glucosamine treats to support joint health. I had to go back and forth to get them to re evaluate. Then- I asked if they would cover the physical therapy that comes after the surgery- all I got back was a canned response that was not helpful. They just said you have to pay for it and submit it, our medical team needs to review it, we can't tell you ahead of time. This seems like pretty simple information to be able to relay to a customer but no, I just got a copy and pasted response that was less than helpful.

So thankful for the pet insurance

I have no idea what my husband and I would of done if we didn’t have this pet insurance. Our pup has had non stop stomach issues among a few other things. Having this insurance makes it affordable to be able to provide our pet with the best care and make it so that we don’t have to worry about if we need to take him into the vet. I highly recommend this pet insurance to anyone who is thinking about getting a dog.
