The best benefits I could have hoped to have for Lady Jane!

I have been with petinsurance.com for over 20 years, back when it was still titled "Veterinary Pet Insurance" (VPI). We have had nothing but amazing coverage and service from VPI and NationWide for both Labrador Retrievers, the oldest of whom passed in 2014 and had several comorbids associated with her advanced age that were covered under our Policy that I did not expect as part of end-of-life care she'd need. I felt very blessed to have this insurance so I could concentrate on making Samantha's final days as comfortable and loving as I could be without having to worry about mounting vet bills. With Lady Jane (nearly 6 years old), she's had to have allergy shots and, just recently, two dead teeth removed...not only was coverage at nearly all off what the procedure cost, I was astounded and just how "protected" Lady was with full reimbursement of the allergy shots. VPI only got better when NationWide absorbed it as part of its insurance portfolio...and that's saying A LOT after how wonderful the coverage was for Samantha as she aged.

Outrageous Application of the “Congenital Condition” Exception to Deny Claim

Claim for healthy 9-year-old dachshund’s hernia surgery denied as resulting congenital condition. This male dog had one undescended testicle as a puppy. Neutering surgery required both traditional procedure and abdominal incision. It has been 8 years since the original neutering, and the site of the hernia is not far from the old incision, but is not ON it.. Nonetheless, the claim for surgery was denied on the basis of the undescended testicle. This is too attenuated to be plausible, particularly since the same insurance PAID for the neutering. Beyond disappointed. Appealed without result.
