Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

(I actually have a guinea pig so I’m hoping this can be adjusted?) I absolutely recommend that guardians of exotic animals insure their animals with Nationwide and find a competent exotics vet, especially now that there is a plan that covers wellness care for exotics. It gives you peace of mind that your precious family member will be covered in the event that vet bills add up (and they can, especially with the tests that are so important for a diagnosis and life-saving care)- it is so critical that exotics are seen promptly and also that they’re seen for routine wellness exams. Nationwide is the only company that covers exotics and the price is VERY reasonable, especially for the good coverage.

This was my first claim since switching all my pets to Nationwide. I read the policy documents end to end and still didn't really believe that treatments for my Great Dane would be covered as much as they said. But it was true! We woke up on a Saturday morning and Ace started vomiting and wouldn't stop. He got ER Vet treatment for a very swollen esophagus and some meds. He got better within a week. I'm not new to the Emergency Vet, as we generally have 1-2 large breed dogs and 4+ cats at a time. I am NOT used to the speedy claim processing with no hassle or "oh we actually don't cover this." I put the claim in on Sunday and by the end of the next week, there was a check in my hands! I'm so glad I switched.

I've only been using Nationwide for about 3 months but so far everything has been great. Submitting claims has been very easy, and all my claims have been approved in a few days. I set up my claim payments to go to my checking account which is super convenient. So far I've been very happy I made the choice to go with Nationwide.

I love Nationwide pet insurance so much that I wish that I could be on my dog’s policy. Many choices of coverage, well informed employees, and coverage when expected. Human polices should be so easy.
