Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

We have had coverage with Nationwide, previously VPI when we first purchased our policy, for over seven (7) years. Purchased the policy hoping to never have to use the benefits, but unfortunately, our dog has had many, many medical issues over the years. Fortunately, Nationwide has been right there to honor its insurance coverage and pays claims timely and without issue. The staff has always been super nice on the telephone as well which is always nice. The claims process is very simple also. Thanks Nationwide and its great staff.

This was Hercules’s first visit since Covid19 began shelter in place here in Waco Texas. Hercules needed to have his ears checked. The doctor said he had a yeast infection and gave us some meds to take home. As soon as I got the receipt for his visit I made the claim on VitusVet app, uploaded a picture of the receipt and submitted in the Veterinarian's parking lot. Nationwide reviewed it within 48 hrs and approved the claim within a week and had my reimbursement in less than 10 days! Bravo Nationwide! Thank you. 😃

The cost of this policy is invaluable! It cost me almost $1,000 to treat my dog recently; Nationwide covered 90% of this cost because I had already met my $250 Annual deductible. So thankful that they didn’t do what most insurance companies do! And that is deny you claim hoping you will just go away. In fact they did the exact opposite! I submitted the claims while still at my vet. I took the pics of the receipts while in the vet office and uploaded them via the vitus vet app and 7-14 days later I received a reimbursement check from Nationwide no questions asked. And I’ll tell you my dog is fighting cancer and to not have to worry about the cost being reimbursed was amazing!!! Thank you Nationwide for not playing games with my claims.

Very straightforward process, fast processing, good explanations. I wish filing claims for the rest my family’s medical issues was this easy.

My mind is at peace knowing that Nationwide Pet Insurance always has my best interest. I never feel like i'm being "jipped" by them. Claim process is easy and the customer service is good.
