Very good service at a very difficult time

Shumba has endured a great deal of pain because of a cancerous condition in his leg. We have had to take him to several specialists and treatment has been rough on Shumba and costly for us. Having Nationwide insurance has made all of this easier than if we had no such policy. Being able to submit claims online and have them reviewed in a timely manner has helped us in this difficult time. Thanks so much for your assistance. Sincerely, James Wolf

Easy process and quick turnaround on claims.

Our pet has a chronic illness that is being treated and managed really well by his vet. The treatments are quite costly, but we don't have to worry about it because of our Nationwide Pet Insurance. The claims for office visits and medication are all easily uploaded through the VitusVet app, and I get the reimbursement in time to cover the credit card bills. I really appreciate the swift processing. It takes the worry out of the equation, and lets us focus on the best care for our pet.

As insurance companies go, working with Nationwide has been a very easy experience.

Very happy with our pet policy. It’s a little expensive, but the perks & good service have been worth it.

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
