So glad I got Nationwide pet insurance when I did!

My dog, Benji, was 4 months old when I signed him up for insurance (we have now had this insurance for 3 months). I'm so glad I got him covered early on. You just never know what might happen. When he was 5 months old he ate grapes and rushed him to the vet ($500+ bill) and then when he was 6 months old he was attacked by a German Shepard while we were walking ($800+ bill but thank goodness he was okay). It would have been hard to pay for everything had I not had the insurance. I submitted my claims and was surprised by how fast I was reimbursed (4-7 days). So far I am a happy customer!

"healthy eyes are happy eyes"

our little ami rose had an eye infection/possible conjunctivitis - she was rubbing her eye and blinking/winking - we knew she was very uncomfortable! the vet tested her eye and gave her drops for 5 days - perfect! having nationwide insurance is such a comfort and blessing - definately "peace of mind" for us! many thanks!

Claims are fast and easy

Making claims with Nationwide couldn’t be easier. I like that I can do everything online and the response time is speedy. I usually have a payment in my account in just a few days!

So glad we went with Nationwide Pet Insurance

We debated on purchasing pet insurance for your two miniature dachshund puppies thinking we wouldn't need it until they were older but thankfully we proceeded. One of our puppies developed a rare condition which raked up a large amount of vet bills and Nationwide reimbursed us timely for all of them. I highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
