Christine was very polite

Christine was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful in deciding which policy to subscribe to for our dog. She did not make me feel rushed and took her time with any questions.

So easy and thorough

Working with Nationwide Pet Insurance is very easy to do online. Their website and digital forms are intuitive with easy-to-follow instructions. Their contact options for issues are thorough, and issues are resolved quickly. The price is extremely reasonable, and it's so easy to make a claim. I recommend them highly if you have beloved fur babies you wish to insure.

My policy got cancelled because I didn't call in. This was not clear in the letter I received. I thought if I paid the premium, it would continue. I have a card on file. I thought my pets were covered and am pretty upset. Now I have to re-apply, which was also not clear. The web portal is lacking in a lot of options, including renewal and explaining the policy. I'm not clear if I am getting my UC discount.

Nationwide Pet insurance is the…

Nationwide Pet insurance is the absolute worst company I have ever used. After over 12 years of paying yearly increasing premiums to keep my dogs covered no matter what, I had to call to cancel as my boy entered into palliative care. As I assumed I had paid for the month already I called to cancel knowing the next few days would be stressful and it would be easily forgotten. I told them that I would no longer need coverage after that day believing they would cover our final vet visit that morning. They decided to prorate my account for the month and therefore not cover his final $600 visit. I paid $1200 a year and of course they tried to keep coverage stating they would pay $60 towards cremation if I just kept paying over $100 a month, when I told them this made no sense they stated I wanted to cancel my policy for before his last visit for financial reasons, which was entirely not the case. They are a cruel and horrible company that is just looking to make a buck off animal lovers that care about their pets. Stay away from this company at all costs.
