Ease of process

We got our Baby Belle in the winter of 2020 as a puppy and knew she had some upcoming expenses. Nationwide Pet Insurance has been quite the benefit as she’s been the the vet a few times already - some planned trips and some unplanned trips. Thankfully, Nationwide has been on our side through the whole process!

Amazing financial help that reduces the worry of having a sick pet!

Nationwide (Pet Insurance) has been spectacular in not only easing our financial worries of the cost of treating our pets' illnesses but also in how easy it is to do! One of the best things we did upon getting our dog was sign up for Nationwide Pet Insurance

We got our dog, Chef, at 7 weeks old and the first thing we did was sign up for Pet Insurance. It was the best thing we've ever done! The vet costs in a dogs first year of life can add up very quickly. Nationwide covered all of chefs vaccinations, check-ups, etc He recently had emergency surgery and Nationwide covered the majority of the costs, no questions asked. We will forever be a Nationwide customer! Also, the representatives we talk to on the phone every time are an absolute pleasure to speak with.

Life savers

Nationwide covered my dogs entire emergency surgery. As they do most people, my dog means the world to me and nationwide was there to help me when I needed it most. Speedy reply on the claim and no hassle or questioning. I’m so happy I went with this company

Satisfied

Since Nationwide took over the processing of claims is faster. Access to information is easier. Thank you for your concern for Max, but his visit to the vet was for his annual checkup and everything was fine.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
