MetLife | Pet Insurance Review

Timely review of claims and quick payment.

This is the first time that I believe I was compensated for bringing the dog to the vet.I don't know if it's because you have to be your annual deductible or what , but this is the first time that i've been compensated

Although it was a bit of a process to get all my canine companion's medical records loaded for the first claim on his policy my experience with Metlife pet insurance has been really good. All claims have been reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. It's important to get the correct information loaded with each claim but uploading documents is easy and straightforward. I had transferred coverage from another company/policy and Metlife pet insurance was the only one that would cover preexisting conditions (as long as the companion had that condition covered by the proceeding policy); which was a really important factor as my companion did have pre-existing conditions that developed while under his prior policy. They have never given me any issues with that. This policy has been great and has definitely helped me keep up with necessary veterinary treatments for my companion and not have to worry about how I was going to pay for it.

It’s easy to submit claims and the guidelines for reimbursement are clear and fair. So far having insurance has been cost effective.
