I feel like I paid for insurance that provided absolutely no benefit.
My dog is 5 years old, and since the day it was born I have paid for MetLife Pet Insurance. I had never filed a claim until last month, when my dog developed diarrhea and I took it to the veterinarian. The vet recommended several tests to get an accurate diagnosis, including a pancreatic blood test.
When I submitted the bill, I was told that the pancreatic blood test is considered a “routine test.” Really? I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve paid for this insurance for 5 years without ever using it, and now that I finally need it, nothing is covered.
This situation is incredibly frustrating. I will be looking for another insurance company, and I definitely will not recommend MetLife Pet Insurance to anyone. I feel like I paid for insurance that provided absolutely no benefit.
