So far very easy to deal with Insurance company

Purchased a policy from Lemonade for our new golden retriever puppy. I chose 100 000$ with 250$ deductible and wellness plan. Total monthly cost 55$. The puppy had his physical and shots last night. I filed a claim to be reimbursed for parasite test and 3 vaccines. The claim was approved in 5 secs. So far I am very impressed and pleased. Claim was very easy to file thru the app.

Rate the Ease of Claim at 11 if I could!

When signing up for insurance entirely from the app, it was a quick and easy process compared to the clunky process from other pet insurance companies. My previous insurance was discounted through my work, but I was paying almost triple what I pay now with Lemonade, plus, with Lemonade, any money I don't claim gets donated if possible! And yes, I have the EXACT same coverage as my old insurance, and could customize it exactly how I want. Money I can feel good about spending. And the claim process! I alsmost couldn't believe I did a claim! It was easy, quick, and done within seconds, money on it's way already to the bank! With my old insurance I had days and forms to fill out; with Lemonade, they cut straight to the point.

Thank goodness

Thank goodness I got insurance for my puppy as soon as I brought him home! You just never know what life brings you, my puppy was seven months old when he got really sick from an inflamed lymph node. The bill added up so quickly in three days I had already accumulated over $8000, I was able to begin the claim as soon as he was admitted and the ease of communication with Lemonade was bar none and they were also able to communicate directly with The hospital my little guy was staying at. I could not be more grateful for them and their understanding during that hard time, the last thing I wanted to deal with was insurance but the ease made it so much easier! Please, please, please get insurance for your pet.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
