Poor communication and handling of insurance claims. The following message was sent 85 days after the initial claim was filed, and 5 days prior to expiration of initial claim (during a Thanksgiving week):
Thank you for sending us your pet insurance Claim.
To complete your Claim, we need your help by providing us with the following documentation:
All of [pet's] medical records since joining your family (view an example medical record here). Your veterinary hospital will provide these documents to you and many are happy to send them on your behalf.
A clear invoice for the claim you are submitting (view an example invoice here). The one we received was partially obscured.
So that we may continue our review of the Claim, please provide us with the requested information. If we have your veterinary clinic’s information, we will send a request on your behalf. However, a follow up with your veterinary clinic on your part may be necessary to make sure that we are provided with the requested information. If [pet] was seen at any other clinics, please provide the name and contact details of these clinics and we are happy to request additional medical records on your behalf.
