Used to be decent

It used to be quite a good pet health insurance. But lately they’ve gotten a lot slower with processing time and adding more roadblocks in having claims approved.

Increased monthly pays $50+ Ridiculous

I've been a member since 2019. I've never had to file a claim however, I have the insurance for peace of mind. Since I became a member my insurance plan has gone up $37. I was just informed it's increasing to $51 which is insane for pet insurance when all the comps are $30 lower. The increases originally started small, $2, $5 then took a jump to $10 and now $17. Not to mention they are charging 4% processing fees for using a credit card. This is just a ploy at this point to get money. When I asked if they would match comps they would not. So I asked if they were willing to lose a customer of 6 years and they said yes. There you have it. I'm leaving because these prices are outrageous.

Saved us thousands of $$$!

We have had a great experience with Healthy Paws. We signed up when our dog, Sadie, was a puppy. She had an overnight hospital visit soon after and the savings for that let us know we would never not have pet insurance! Years later, at the age of 5 and a half, we found out that Sadie needed to have heart surgery. Healthy Paws paid 80% of the surgery, testing and medication and saved us a fortune!

Healthy Paw really came through!

We have had Healthy Paws for as long as we've had our dog (9 years) and we found it useful...but I am upgrading that to necessary because we just had a major incident of our dog needing an amputation because of a tumor in her bone and they really came through for us. It was an incredibly expensive procedure and Healthy Paws covered much of it. Then, to really make them gain 5 stars from me, I got a personal email checking in on her recovery. My "people insurance" isn't doing that! We are so happy with our Healthy Paws coverage.

I have been with Healthy Paws for 8…

I have been with Healthy Paws for 8 years, first in CA and now WA. I made very claims until the last year where I submitted monthly arthritis shots ($80) and one urgent care visit ($717) and not much before that. My dog turns 13 this month and they raised my policy from $140 a month to $626. This is outrageous and they know you can not switch a 13 year old dog to anyone else but it doesn't matter cuz I am dropping them. What kind of insurance takes your money for 8 years and then drops you? I am sorry to all my friends that I referred you to them because of positive experiences.
