Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My 2 year old dachshund had a stomach problem that ultimately required surgery to repair an ulcer. Healthy Paws was there every step of the way. They are not like any insurance company i have ever dealt with. They truly care about the well being of animals. My claim was handled promptly and courteously. Their customer service is unequaled. I highly recommend Healthy Paws.

Our poor little 1 year old lab mix suddenly started vomiting blood on the night before Christmas Eve, the cause of which remains unclear. He needed sedation, IV fluids, labs, x-rays, anti-nausea medications--the works. He started out at our regular vet's office then had to be transferred to the local Emergency pet hospital for ongoing care, more labs and overnight rehydration. He received timely and excellent care in both places, and fortunately he recovered completely over the next few days. Not surprisingly, however, the bill was just under $1000. Thanks to Healthy Paws, we were able to have both vets provide whatever care our puppy needed and knew we'd have much of it covered through his puppy insurance. The claims process is simple, and amazingly, we had our reimbursement check back in the bank within 6 days. 6 days!! I was shocked, especially given that this took place during the Christmas holiday week. This is the best $30/month I could ever spend. We can't thank you enough, Healthy Paws!

I actually joined Healthy Paws based upon reviews on this website and everything I have read holds true to my experience. Their payment response time is great, every time I have called for customer service their team has been exceptionally helpful and friendly, and they do honestly care about the well being of your pet. I in fact just received a personalized email checking on how my dog was feeling since I recently submitted a bill for an emergency vet visit. I love their service so far and recommend it to any of my friends. My wife even works for a car insurance company, and she recommends customer directly to Healthy Paws when they ask about pet insurance. Great company, great service, plain and simple.

This is my second review but I think it's important because Healthy Paws has come through again! Since we have had Healthy Paws for our senior dog, they have been excellent in processing our claims and refunds. She has had unexpected, odd health issues and we have had issues when our vet has submitted the claims. Healthy Paws has been very responsive and caring. We highly recommend them if you are shopping around for pet insurance.

I adopted my dog Kona in January of 2011. In the first few days of having him we spent $500.00 on what we thought may have been parvo. Luckily, it was a false positive but the vet quoted us $1200.00 for treatment, which we didn't have. Our precious Kona has had pink eye, giardia, an ear infection and recently a broken nail. Healthy Paws has settled each claim quickly and efficiently. In our extensive research Healthy Paws gave the best coverage for the most reasonable price. The claim forms are hassle free and I appreciate talking to a real person over the phone. It's so nice to be able to bring your dog to the vet no questions asked.
