Excellent experience with Healthy Paws

Our Black Lab Mixed-Breed dog had a fatty growth on his neck that needed to be removed. After the surgery, we scanned in the documents and emailed them to Healthy Paws. We originally sent all of the claims and the medical history as a single document and this seemed to cause some problems. Once we scanned each claim as separate documents, the claims were quickly processed and paid. The company did an excellent job communicating with us and keeping us updated on the status of our claims. I would recommend this company to anyone that has a dog, especially one that is problem to health problems.

I Thank you

As a new pet parent, I am extremely thankful for the fact that I chose Healthy Paws as my puppy's insurance carrier. Unfortunately, my puppy, Hudson incurred a fall and ended up breaking 5 of his toes. I submitted the claims from the hospital and the vet and was pleased with the response time. I received a reimbursement check in the mail within a week that the claim was filed. I shutter to think about the out of pocket expenses that can surmount without decent insurance. I truly believe that I made a very good choice with Healthy Paws. I only wished that my medical insurance was as reliable

Great Communication and Customer Service!

I am so relieved I have Healthy Paws after our 2 yr. old Husky Mix, Kota, spent some time at the vet, along with the ER vet. She had to go in twice for fluids and couldn't keep anything in her. She had blood tests done and x-rays done to test for blockage. When your dog is so sick, you do anything for them!It took a little longer getting all the info I needed from my own vet and the ER vet, but once all the documents were in order, Healthy Paws was quick to take care of things. They communicated very well and I always got a friendly, caring voice on the other end of the phone line. I am very happy I went with Healthy Paws!

I wish MY health insurance was this good!

Honestly, this is an amazing company. I was so worried about submitting an expensive claim. But, they covered everything just like they said they would. Not only did they cover the costs, but I received personalized messages from them asking how my dog was. They truly care about your pet.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
