Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws sent emails confirming receipt of my claims and informing me of when the checks would be processed. I received the reimbursement checks within 2 weeks of submitting the claims, and then I received a very caring email asking how my dog was doing. During such a stressful time, it was helpful to know the financial aspect was being taken care of just like Healthy Paws said they were going to do. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical thinking the process wouldn't go smoothly just because you never know in these situations, but the process went very smoothly and efficiently. This company has a healthy balance of professionalism and kindness. They will have my business as long as I am a pet owner. They provide peace of mind, and they follow through with what they say they will do.

I did tons of research on insurance companies, and found that Healthy Paws had the best coverage and least amount of exclusions. I didn't realize that the customer service would be so great. Each and every claim has been reimbursed promptly without any headaches and followed up with a concerned email to make sure my little guy is feeling better. I couldn't recommend them more highly. My nine year old golden tore her ACL and meniscus. I had two claims to be processed. The first one was done within 6 days. The second claim within 14 days. The whole ordeal was close to $4,000. There were no questions asked only complete support from start to finish. I received phone calls and emails checking on my dog's progress. My own insurance company for my medical claims is not this caring. It is a pleasure dealing with everyone you talk to and they cannot do enough to make you happy. My dog is about to start water therapy. To have that as an option to the recovery shows Healthy Paws has taken the step into Alternative Therapy which shows they are progressive and interested in what is best for our pets. I have recommended them to friends and family members!

I have four guys. One dog and 3 cats. After our Salem was diagnosed with cancer, we spent over 6,000 dollars for his surgery and treatment. Sadly he passed, but that was when we decided that pet insurance should be checked out for our other 4 guys. I researched 20 different pet insurance companies until I settled on Healthy Paws. Currently our Penrod,(cat), was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. I vet suggested at his age getting radioactive iodine treatment done on him. That bill was $1000.00. The insurance we chose was 80% reimbursement, with a $500.00 deductible. After we met his deductible with pior blood work and x-rays, the hospital bill was $1000.00 and we got reimbursed $800.00. I submitted the bill via email and was notified about an hour later that a check was in the mail!!!! Also they sent me a email asking if Penrod was doing OK. My own insurance company does not do this. I was so amazed!!!!! I so highly recommend Healthy Paws!!!! Our next fur babies will surely be insured with them.

On Mar.6, 2013, my 10 month German Shepherd pup tore out a toe nail. This required immediate vet care to treat the wound and stop the bleeding. I filed my Healthy Paws claim the same day (using their easy downloadable pre-filled form). To my astonishment, on Mar. 11, I already received my check in the mail. I've used other pet insurers and have never had such efficient service. Amazing!
