Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have 2 young boxers who have had a chewing problem like most puppies. Unfortunately for us they also decided to swallow what they were chewing on and each ending up having to full open small bowel surgery with resection due to the foreign objects lacerating their small intestines and causing bleeding. Healthy paws was there with us every step of the way and even sent us emails checking in. Great insurance with fair rates and an expedited claims process.

About a year ago, I decided it was time to finally get pet insurance for my 5 yr old, 75lb lab/shepherd mix, Willy. A friend told me about Healthy Paws, and their reviews and prices looked good to me. Fast forward one year, and poor ol' Willy has torn a ligament in his rear left leg. Having our Healthy Paws insurance took away all the anxiety of having to even have a discussion about whether or not we'd be able to afford the nearly $5000 of treatments he needed. That was 3 weeks ago, and I received my reimbursement from Healthy Paws last week! That's 2 weeks it took them to get me my money back! I believe they actually had the claim processed within a day or two. And there have been at least a couple of emails from their claims manager just checking in, and seeing how Willy is doing.I don't often review services like this, but that's because I'm not usually inspired by such exceptional service. I honestly can't recommend Healthy Paws enough. I've already gotten a few different friends to sign up!

Healthy Paws is excellent! I cannot imagine not having this care/service for my cat. I was referred by a co-worker and am thrilled that I secured a policy on my sweet little rescue cat. Healthy Paws is so quick to process any of her claims and they also have the nicest customer service of ANY company I can recall! I wish Healthy Paws had insurance for people too! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Healthy Paws- they have been excellent since day 1!

I was recommended Healthy Paws for my first pet by my vet. Unfortunately I did not get it right when he came home as it took about 10 months before I decided to go with Healthy Paws. I am so glad that I am now a member and they insure my French Bulldog, Henry. They are super responsive for when I submit a claim within 1-2 days or less do they review and handle my claim. Recently Henry had multiple claims within a week of each other and Jen, the Customer Care & Claims Mgr reached out to me via email to check if Henry was doing okay since they had seen many claims. Why doesn't a human insurance company do something like this? I was so taken by surprise how much that Healthy Paws CARES about its customers and insured pets. I am really impressed with their customer service and just overall business model. I have highly recommended Healthy Paws to new pet owners and existing owners too.

I'm familiar with many pet insurance companies from working at vet clinics and filing claims for clients so I knew I wanted to be choosy when selecting a pet insurance company for my dog, Buster. I chose the right company! Buster already had a long health history before we signed him up with Healthy Paws and in the last year and a half they've reimbursed us for over $3,000.00 of his current medical bills, things ranging from orthopedic issues to gastrointestinal disease. Healthy Paws continues to impress me, I wish my health insurance provider was as good to me as Healthy Paws has been to Buster. My new boss is now recommending Healthy Paws to our clients, and a veterinarian friend is recommending them at her practice too!
