Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Buying this policy from Healthy Paws for our dog Brooklyn when she was a puppy was one of the best decisions we ever made. And Healthy Paws is just about the best company we’ve ever worked with. A few months after we bought the policy, Brooklyn was diagnosed with cancer. Now, after a year and a half of treatment for malignant mast cell tumors, her doctor has essentially declared her cancer free. With the support of Healthy Paws – who was always responsive to our needs, easy to communicate with, and fulfilled every requirement of the insurance agreement – we were able to navigate what otherwise would have been a burdensome and expensive treatment program for Brooklyn. Upon adopting a rescue dog I decided to shop for insurance. After some googling and reading reviews on several Insurance companies, I settled on Healthy Paws. Very glad I did!!I have both my dog and cat insured. I have turned in several claims on my dog and 1 on my cat so far. In every instance I received notice via email as soon as HP received the fax from the vet or myself depending on circumstance. Usually the same day I was informed via email that the claim was processed and I was provided with a PDF file to look at online or print out showing what was covered and what was not covered.. usually just the exam fee was not covered which is standard.. and best of all my 90% refund check arrived within 1 week. doesn't get any better than that!!

I am very impressed with Healthy Paws. I was skeptical when I decided to get pet insurance for my little rescue dog. She is 8 lbs as an adult and a mix, so decided to give it a try. Now 18 mo later she had to have an emergency stomach surgery due to blockage and the bill was $1800. So I sent it off to Healthy Paws. Their claims process was so simple and efficient and I received my reimbursement within 30 days. I believe Healthy Paws is honestly better than my personal medical insurance and am going to add a pet to the policy.

Miles is a very sweet dog that was viciously attacked by another dog. He had very severe injuries and needed medical attention. Thanks to Healthy Paws, I had the peace of mind to get Miles the best treatment possible. They handled and paid my claim with no problem. Thanks Healthy Paws!!!!
