Very fast and hassle-free claim processing

Last weekend my dog ate an entire tray of brownies and almost died. Luckily, we were able to get her to the emergency room fast enough and they were able to save her life. She did have to spend the night in the hospital though which led to a bill of nearly $1,000. I filed a claim with Healthy Paws the next day, the claim was processed within 2 days no questions asked, and I received a claim check within the same week. Knowing that I would be getting reimbursed from my pet insurance, knowing that it would be a hassle-free process, and knowing that I would be getting the check in the email within days made an extremely stressful situation a little bit better. I really appreciated Healthy Paws speed and their understanding that the last thing a pet owner would ever want in this type of situation would be to get any push-back or delay from their pet insurer. I would (and have) highly recommended Healthy Paws to all of my dog-owning friends.

Best Decision Ever Made

I was very skeptical at first but took the plunge anyway and now I am just so happy we enrolled our puppy - baby- with Healthy Paws. There is just so much choice out there but what I liked was so many positive reviews & excellent customer service. I chose $100 annual deductible and 90% coverage. A few months after we enrolled our baby needed surgery! I was so upset and really anxious because there is no way we can afford the surgery. I was so anxious worrying if Healthy Paws truly would cover my pup. I made lots of calls and sent emails only to be reassured that he was covered and things would work out ok. I was still nervous up until I received the first check! We were just so relieved! Healthy Paws covered everything - his surgery, x-rays, labs, pretty much everything just not the Vet/ specialist fee. They have really come through for us. Healthy Paws is really quick about getting claims processed. I really couldn't believe how lightning fast they were! FIRST CLAIM - submitted via email my pup's entire medical history and a few days later I received an email from Healthy Paws "Claim In Process” & within 10 days I had an email saying "claim processed" with a link to the EOB and 2 days after I received the check in the mail. SECOND Claim – submitted via email. Same day I received an my claim was "In Process” - THREE hours later I received another email "Claim Processed" with a link to the EOB and a few days later I had the check in the mail.

4 little dogs on Healthy Paws Insurance

I have had 4 dogs on healthy paws for several years now. They are amazing when you have to submit a claim. You get a live person to talk to that really seems to care and they even send a follow up email to see if your pet is feeling better. They are compassionate people and the reimbursement check is in the mail within a week!! I am so thankful for healthypaws pet insurance to help me care for my babies. its so nice to not put a price tag on my dogs health when I go to a vet!! I would never have a pet again without pet insurance.

Why do we have Healthy Paws Pet Insurance...

We have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for the past 2 years. Several times my husband asked, why? Now he knows and said he won't question it again. :)Over the winter our active 7 yr old Husky mix, Sierra sustained a slight injury during an agility exercise session. We didn't think much of it at the time. This spring when our activity levels increased, so did her lameness. At the advise of our Vet, we consulted a specialty vet who confirmed that Sierra had a Cruciate Ligament tear and suggested TPLO surgery. Of course, as with any surgery, there is a high cost. Thanks to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, we were able to have Sierra's ligament injury corrected without the high financial burden. The check from Healthy Paws Pet insurance arrived yesterday. If not for them, Sierra would not be able to resume the active lifestyle that she thrives on. The peace of mind is worth the cost, especially having 3 active dogs!

Must have!!!!

I have been so impressed with Healthy Paws! Firstly, they are straightforward and there are no hidden policies. You know what your policy covers and what it doesn't. Processing a claim is so easy and convenient; online, fax, or phone. Recently I had submitted a very expensive claim. My dog was bit by a rattlesnake and required anti-venom and very close monitoring. I submitted the claim and within a day I received notification the claim was being processed and within a week I received my refund. I highly recommend pet insurance and I highly recommend Healthy Paws!
