Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I've had pet insurance through Healthy Paws ever since I adopted my then 9-year-old pit bull/ACD mix from the shelter. She is now 11 years old. She needed surgery for a torn cruciate ligament. Not only was working with Healthy Paws EXTREMELY easy and stress-free, but the customers service was always quick. I would email a question and receive a response within half an hour! I uploaded 2 invoices to submit a claim online for her surgery and 1 was processed the next day, and the other the day after. WOW! I am completely happy with Healthy Paws and recommend them to everyone. All of the people I interacted with were so helpful and kind. The coverage they provided was exactly what was stated in my plan. Nothing hidden, nothing hard to understand. It's been such blessing, especially having an older dog. They will have my business for as long as I have pets. I have peace of mind knowing that all my future interactions with them will be easy as well. Thank you, Healthy Paws team!!!!!

Because we had a dog previously who had significant health problems and astronomical vet bills, when we got a second dog, (a puppy), we decided to get insurance for both dogs. This was in 2010. The insurance would only cover new problems for our old dog, but all problems for our new dog. Recently our second dog had GDV. This is something to which barrel chested dogs are prone, where the animal's stomach flips, cutting it off from the blood stream. If not corrected within two hours or so, the dog dies. We got Pickle, our 4-year old Standard Poodle straight to the emergency vet. They administered major surgery to save her, but save her they did. $4,500 and 6 weeks later, she is healed, happy and healthy again. After filing our claim to Healthy Paws, our part of the bill was about $500. The $4,000 was reimbursed to us within the week by Healthy Paws. They are a great company and we are so grateful for their coverage and the protection they have given our dogs.

I cannot say enough good stuff about this pet ins. co. My little french bulldog had a huge mass on her toe and had to have it amputated :( This insurance company processed all her claims within 24 hours and i even called a few times and went over things and they were so helpful and friendly! I don't know wny people choose any other insurance other than HP! Super stoked and glad i made the rigth choice!

As an attorney i deal with insurance companies regularly, and i see the worst of it all. Suffice it to say, i was pretty skeptical when i decided to sign my dog "Yuba" up for pet insurance with Healthy Paws. Multiple broken bones and surgeries later (sometimes a lab just can't help doing the crazy things that labs do), and Healthypaws has been there every step of the way. The have not only covered all of Yuba's claims without argument, they have covered them quickly, and compassionately, always being sure to send a get well note along with a note that the claim is being covered and the check is on the way. I have never experienced an insurance company as honest, caring, and down right awesome as healthypaws, and i probably never will again; they are truly one of a kind and come highly recommended by my family and pup.

My golden retrievers have been insured by Healthy Paws for almost 3 years now. In that time I have had several emergencies and injuries all of which were processed quickly, efficiently and without any issues. When I lost my girl last Dec. to a bleeding tumor on her spleen, my claim was processed, payment issued, her policy cancelled and a condolence card sent within days and without me having to make a single phone call! Most recently, my boy had to have his spleen removed because of a tumor and my uploaded claim was processed within 48 hours. Suffice it to say I have been completely satisfied with Healthy Paws!
