Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I have been with Healthy Paws Insurance for a few years now, and had ran the gamut prior to joining Healthy Paws with other pet insurances that were quite frankly a BIG scam! Healthy Paws has kept to their word according to the policy I chose and paid me out on EVERY claim. I have a very small toy bread that unfortunately ran into some gastrointestinal issues requiring quite a few trips to the ER and a few hospital stays, to the tune of over $5000. Healthy Paws paid out every claim within 2 weeks (at 90% coverage, the policy I chose) with now questions asked. They are very honest, helpful, caring and don't make you wait for your reimbursement. I don't know what I would have done for my little baby if I didn't have Healthy Paws insurance. I highly suggest you research their policies as every situation is different, but I can honestly tell you that you won't find a better pet insurance company!!!

Everything about our experience with Happy Paws has been great. They were very friendly when I called to ask questions about my claim and completed it super quickly once they received my pet's full medical records. My dog had a major surgery on January 18th and I have already received reimbursement checks from Healthy Paws (on the 29th of January) as well as a follow up email to check and see how he's doing. I didn't even get his complete records to them until a couple days after his surgery and it was my first claim. They processed it amazingly quick and had great, friendly customer service too. I would highly recommend them!

After 5 corgis I decided the new puppy should have pet insurance- I didn't anticipate that I would need surgery so soon. Healthy Paws customer support staff responded quickly answering questions and promptly reviewed out claim. A follow-up contact to ask how our pet was doing certainly exceeded my expectations . Having surgery on your pet is always stressful , knowing that you have insurance to offset the expense makes the experience a bit more manageable.

In the morning Meara was spinning for breakfast, in the evening she had bloody,explosive diarrhea and collapsed. We took her to a local overnight emergency clinic. They stablelized her and in the morning she was taken to Advanced Internal Medicine. They found a tumor,possibly in operable. We took her home very sad at the expected outcome, but she rallied over the next few days, so we did a CT scan. She has had a successful surgery and we are waiting for histopathology report, hoping for a treatable cancer, which seems very likely. I was nervous about the mounting costs, but Healthy Paws reimbursed as expected. The claims process was easy and efficient. I called the company and emailed on a couple of occasions. Everyone was friendly, personable and supportive. You can tell these are animal loving people. I am very hopeful that Meara will have a good outcome and be with us for a few more years. I am so glad I made the decision to switch to Healthy Paws a few years ago.

First time with pet insurance after 5 dogs and wonder why I waited so long. Healthy Paws has responded promptly to my last 2 claims. Not only easy to deal with their customer support staff is courteous, knowledgable and easy to reach . There policies are clear and staff is easy available to answer questions. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone thinking of pet insurance, and if you aren't thinking about it- you should. The price for insurance is minimal should you be faced with one serious illness .
