Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our dog Honey was hit with unexpected stomach issues (bloody diarrhea, vomiting, and even an emergent situation where she went into shock). I am so glad I signed up for healthy paws insurance because it saved us a few thousand dollars. The claim was processed in a week and we received our reimbursement the following week. They keep you up to date with your claim status and actually care about your pets. I highly recommend healthy paws.

My Girl Dixie developed some pretty severe gastro intestinal issues and has been in and out of the vets almost every week for the past six months. HealthyPaws has been there all along the way - never questioned or denied a claim and I've had a ton so far. They have processed the claims quickly and efficiently and the customer service I received on the phone was excellent. Working with her vets she is now on treatment plan that will hopefully stop all the issues. It will be a few months before we can say we are out of the woods and I'm so glad I got the HealthyPaws insurance. I couldn't have afforded the quality of care my girl deserves without them. I really can't say enough about them. They even send emails checking on my girl to see how she is progressing. I will be with them for as long as my little Dixie needs them.

Read the FINE PRINT! I can't stress this enough. It does not matter what their rep tells you over the phone. You MUST get it in writing. Also, their requirement that you provide full medical records within x amount of time of enrolling is confusing. When I called after enrolling and receiving the email, the rep said this wasn't needed. Later they'll tell you it's in their FAQ. Is that the right place for it? Maybe their reps should know too. For a year they've collected my monthly payment and a few hundred dollars in deductible this year. What did I get out of it? Well, I thought I had good pet insurance and peace of mind when really it was all an illusion.

Thank you for asking how Vienna is doing after her cruciate surgery. She is doing well. She has started physical therapy post op. It is good to know I have Healthy Paws by my side so she can continue to get the best after care related to her surgery.
