Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

In September, my 2.5 year old dog chewed up and ate his crate liner. Ultimately he needed surgery which, as you know, costs a fortune. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I didn't have insurance to cover it. So, we wised up and got Healthy Paws, knowing that our mischievous pup would get into something else. Overall, HP has saved us upwards of $2000. Our dog ended up having extreme stomach issues and because of Healthy Paws, we're able to care for him.

We had both of our yellow labs in for surgery within two weeks of each other. Bentley had a torn ACL with some heart condition that needed addressing prior to putting him under for his surgery. Chunk needed to have multiple bone spurs removed from both his back legs. Thanks to Healthy Paws we were able to get them the best medical care. Knowing we had the best medical coverage in the industry allowed us to rest easy knowing we had a team of people behind us to insure we could cover the costs of these surgeries and focus on our pets well being and also the healing process. I dont know what we would have done this past month without healthy paws. My 11 month old Weimaraner, Raphael, has an affinity for socks. No matter how hard we try he always manages to get to them. In the past we had taken him to the Vet and were told that due to its placement he should pass it, and he did. This time it was blocking up his intestines. The surgery went great, and he is back to normal but the ease of the process with Healthy Paws in submitting the invoices was incredible. Within 8 days I had a refund check in hand and it took so much stress out of the equation. I reccommend healthy paws to everyone I know and is the best decision I could have ever made for Raphael and my family

I've had experience with a couple of the other pet insurance programs, and I appreciate the level of service I've received so far from Healthy Paws. My dog tore her ACL, and while they required her full medical records, once they determined it was not pre-existing, my claim was paid in full. I even got a nice email from a customer rep a few weeks after the surgery to inquire how the dog was doing. It was a nice touch on top of good service.

We adopted our dog Jimmy last May and decided to get a health insurance from healthy paws based on the excellent ratings. Unfortunately we had to submit our first claims a few weeks ago, as our poor pooch needed a CCL surgery. Healthy paws was just awesome with reimbursing the claims and reaching out to us about Jimmy's recovery.
