Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have had Healthy Paws for our pets since 2010. They USED TO BE good and processed claims as advertised. Over the years they removed more and more types of services covered. Now it is HORRIBLE to get claims processed. When you call it is awful and impossible to get a straight answer. They always assure you that something will happen right away and then it doesn’t. I am now waiting FIVE MONTHS for claims to be processed. And they stack one on top of the other! They have “claims” and “tickets” and “cases” and they “send direct messages” to each other and repeated emails to me and the vet, yet nothing EVER gets resolved. We are paying over $300 PER MONTH for insurance that doesn’t pay out!!! Time to change to Costco insurance. So sick of their fawning and LIES LIES LIES. Healthy Paws - no need to reply here - reply by actually processing my outstanding claims and quit delaying.

I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance recently. My pet, Toto, had a health scare, and I was relieved to have Healthy Paws by our side. He went through multiple round of Xrays, MRI, Sling wearing, Blood test, Spinal tap and ultimately was diagnosed with autoimmune disorder impacting his joints. Healthy paws helped me out in providing me coverage as per my eligibility which was a HUGE HELP at times of need. Their support and coverage were outstanding, allowing Toto to receive the best medical care available. From the moment I contacted them, I was impressed with the swift response and genuine concern for Toto's well-being. The claims process was straightforward and hassle-free, with clear communication every step of the way. Some of my claims were reimbursed within 3-4 business days. Their dedication to providing excellent service truly shone through. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet parent looking for reliable insurance. They offer peace of mind and top-notch support during stressful times. It's evident that they care deeply about the health and happiness of our furry family members. I put in a claim on March 14 and it had been over a year since my last claim. I felt it was taking so long and I never saw a direct deposit in my account, so I got online and saw that the claim had processed and they marked it "closed", however,they never paid me $279.20, which shows the amount I am due. I looked at my account and saw that somehow my direct deposit was not listed in my portal account, so I put it back in and called Healthy Paws to let them know, explained what happened and told them I put my direct deposit info back in the system. It is now May 19th and I called again TODAY, and they told me it should take 10 days from the first time I called and that I should be paid by May 23rd. Seems like a very long time since direct deposit is a very quick thing to correct. I don't have a lot of patience for insurance companies that would cancel me in an instant if I didn't pay my bill, but take their darn sweet time when they have to PAY ME.
