Healthy Paws - Could not be happier!

We joined Healthy Paws last summer shortly after getting our new English Mastiff puppy. Like many, I've become a little jaded over the years with insurance companies pointing to the small print for reasons to not support a claim. Our experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of outstanding and I have been so relieved not only at the turn around time, but the clarity of the program. I want to take thus opportunity to thank the folks at Healthy Paws who have been incredibly responsive and kind with our claims and calls.

Superb and fast service

We've just been through an emotional rollercoaster of medical drama with our dog. He was diagnosed with a large tumor in his shoulder, requiring both an initial surgery to remove the mass, plus a followup to amputate after his leg was no longer getting enough blood. It was a very expensive set of procedures, requiring several overnight stays at the emergency vet. If it hadn't been for Healthy Paws, I don't know what we would have done. They were very prompt to respond to our claims, and to give us reimbursement checks. Just knowing they were there was a huge burden off our minds.

I'll never use another Pet Insurance company!

I've had pet insurance through three different companies over the years, and I have to say that Healthy Paws is definitely the best! I have been with them almost 3 years. The premiums are very reasonable and I never have a hassle with submitting claims. One of my dogs is elderly and has some health issues requiring frequent vet visits - my claims are paid every time, with no pre-existing labels or other ways to get out of paying. Typically the claims are processed within a week (many times sooner). The client reps are extremely pleasant and I love the pics of their babies in the emails. I will never use another company!

The BEST choice you can make!

My Colt is elderly and has Irritable Bowel Disease, requiring frequent vet visits and bloodwork - my claims are paid every time, with no pre-existing labels or other ways to get out of paying. Typically the claims are processed within a week (many times sooner). The client reps are extremely pleasant and I love the pics of their babies in the emails. I will never use another company!

Healthy paws is by far THE BEST PET INSURANCE arou

My boy Archer tore his CCL and needed to undergo tplo surgery. I was a bit nervous because it is an expensive surgery that requires a few lifestyle adjustments for you and your pup while they heal. Healthy paws covered everything they say the covered without question. They will have my business for life and I make sure anyone I know that is looking for pet insurance knows about them.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
