I've been with healthypaws for 11yrs+

I've been with healthypaws for 11yrs+. Throughout my dog's life, Millie has gone through two CCL surgeries and most recently surgery to remove masses on her liver. Each time, healthypaws was caring and provided coverage without hassle. I am so glad I chose them so many years ago.

Best-In-Class Pet Insurance

Our 5-year old dachshund has been through two very major surgeries and dozens of vet appointments and less serious procedures over the past few years, and not only has Healthy Paws helped with the financial burden, reimbursing within days, they've reached out to provide support as well. We recommend them to all of our friends and family who have all shared with us that their experience has been just as positive. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking to insure your pets!

BEWARE: Premiums Skyrocket Over Time — They Don't Want Long-Term Customers

I just canceled my Healthy Paws policy after watching my monthly premium increase by over 500% in just 4 years. When I first signed up, the price was reasonable, and I genuinely believed I was protecting my dog long-term. But every single year, the premium jumped significantly — without any major claims on my end. They’ll tell you it’s because “more pet parents are using their policies in your area,” but I’ve lived in both rural Colorado and now Oregon, and the excuse is always the same. The truth is: they don't want long-term customers. The younger your pup is, the cheaper the policy — but once your dog starts aging (especially around 6 years old), be prepared for your monthly cost to become outrageous and unsustainable. It's clear that Healthy Paws is focused on maximizing profit from healthy young pets while pushing out responsible pet owners who might actually use the insurance when it matters. It’s disappointing and greedy. This is not a company that supports loyal, long-term customers.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for Wallis

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my Bernedoodle Wallis since she was a young puppy. I had heard enough true stories of parents that had to make the difficult decision to save their pet or, or the awful choice of letting them go due to the cost of the medical procedures. We have been fortunate that Wallis has been healthy but she has had some medical issues resulting in costs well outside routine vet visits. Most recently Wallis required surgery. These costs are no different than the costs for a human and Healthy Paws covered the costs exactly like the policy I have with Healthy Paws. In the number of claims I have made over Wallis’s seven years, Healthy Paws has met every claim quickly, usually reimbursing within a few days. There is a heartfelt peace of mind knowing that should Wallis ever need very expensive care I would not have to make the unimaginable decision of whether she gets care or I can’t afford it. Wallis will continue to have Healthy Paws insurance for what I hope is a very long life.
