10+ year customer, will always have them

i've had healthy paws pet insurance..... for the last 10+ years. they are definitely a premium insurer - but you get what you pay for. physical therapy. cancer treatments. $20,000 surgeries. i send them the invoice, they deposit my reimbursement a couple days later. not even batting an eye. i always recommend them.

Fast reimbursement

My dog had an accident and needed surgery. Healthy Paws was fast with the reimbursement. Nice knowing they covered it. Expensive surgery, long recovery. We were reimbursed within 4 days. I would love if they did direct pay to the vet/hospital. Been with Healthy Paws for 7 years.

Healthy Paws pet insurance has been well worth it.

Healthy Paws pet insurance has been a life saver for our pet. Our dog has undergone several outpatient tests and 2 major surgeries. He now requires prescription maintenance. The process to submit claims is easy and payment is timely. The peace of mind pet insurance coverage provides has been well worth it when unexpected illnesses and surgeries arise.

Healthy Pet Insurance never paid one…

Healthy Pet Insurance never paid one claim that I submitted, and then they more than doubled my rates. You are far better off self-funding your own insurance. Beware.

BUYER BEWARE - Coverage Drop at Age 7!

Just received my renewal after 10 years of covering our dog since he was a puppy. I've paid the expected rate increases each year. I've held a $250 deductible with 90% reimbursement coverage the entire time. This year my coverage is being unilaterally changed from a $250 deductible to $500 and the company is reducing reimbursement to 70% and of course they are raising my overall premium despite a significant reduction in coverage. After talking to customer service - it sounds like the company the company has made a broad decision that all 7+ year old dogs will no longer be eligible for the coverage limits. While young dogs can still sign up for increased coverage, there is a steep drop as your dog ages. My original thinking was that you select your Pet Insurance while a puppy and keep it consistent. You don't want to have to switch when they get older in case of "preexisting conditions" which create challenges for new coverage. This change backs you into corner. BUYERS PLEASE PROCEED WITH EYES WIDE OPEN. To Healthy Paws -- you used to be such a great and promising company in this space. This is so disappointing. To the leaders, based on my reading reviews, I'm not the first to have this experience. Your lack of honoring those who have invested in your past success - should have consequences.
