Denial of pre-approved claim
After calling ahead to make sure the test recommended by a veterinarian was one covered, Figo denied the claim. This would have been only for $98 because deductible is $200 and test is $298. This is with over a year and a half of paying the higher premium to have a lower deductible, and this was the first claim in this entire time of having two dogs on the plan. If they deny this small amount to a dedicated client, I dread what they would argue if it was more $ involved such as with an accident or disease. Looking at the rating they have, 7.8, I am not not surprised at this low satisfaction score. I can no longer recommend Figo to clients. I work in training and I volunteer with rescues and shelter clinics with cats and dogs, and I often and asked my experience or opinion on pet insurance. I'm in Chicago and I wanted to support this company being Chicago based. I am very disappointed and sad about how they have handled this and how they disregard the importance of dedication from customers and word of mouth regarding recommendations. I definitely have a bad feeling now for this company, and they have devalued my trust and they have lost it now.
