Definitely recommend

I pay A LOT for my premium but I signed my dog up as a relatively healthy 10.5 year old and this was one of the only companies that still offered 90% reimbursement for a dog his age. I have filed 2 claims and the first one took a while but they covered everything and the second one was processed in a matter of hours. I LOVE that they pay exam fees. I have heard that premiums go up exponentially when it’s time to renew so I’m a little afraid of that, but that’s several months out so I’m going to enjoy them while I have them. Definitely gives me piece of mind.

The best

I heard horror stories of people having pet insurance and it “ Being useless”. Not so with Figo. ! Prompt , accurate and completely fair reimbursement.

FIGO does not cover anything

FIGO has yet to cover a single claim for our dog as they claim everything to be “routine”. Our dog got very sick and needed a $300 test- this was deemed “routine”. He required a cardiology exam - this was required “routine”. I would love to see a list of items that they do not just put “routine” for. Their explanation is very black and white. Over the past 6 months we have been hit with over $3, 000 in medical bills $0 of which have been covered by insurance. We will be dropping FIGO.

Better service I receive from insurance provider

Figo has been a lifesaver for my rescue dog. Have been overwhelmed with their level of service. Claims filing is remarkably easy and payment is made within a few days. I am grateful to them. Trust me, they provide a much higher level of service than my own health insurance provider.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
